Writ filed before the High Court Division seeking lockdown of Dhaka city

A writ has been filed before the High Court Division seeking immediate lockdown of the entire Dhaka City to contain the spread of coronavirus.  Advocate Md. Mahbubul Islam on Thursday filed the petition of the writ for public interest.

The petition also sought directions to ensure adequate High Flow Nasal Cannula oxygen for coronavirus patients.

The petition has made Cabinet division, concerned secretaries of Health, Finance and PM’s secretariat, director of Directorate General of Health Services, additional secretaries of the Health Ministry and administration, Dhaka police commissioner, RAB director general and two mayors of Dhaka City Corporations, the respondents.
