The Government of Bangladesh through a gazette on July 23, 2015 published the Power of Attorney Rules 2015 which was promulgated under the Power of Attorney Act 2012.
The said 2015 Rule successfully attempts to facilitate the 2012 Act with the necessary forms for drafting general, special and irrevocable power of attorney, power of attorney for land development, foreign power of attorney. The rules also prescribe the process by which a notice for cancellation of a power of attorney should be prepared. The rules provide specific guidelines how a foreign power of attorney should be prepared and authenticated, and also describes how a power of attorney should be cancelled.
